Experienced plumbing professional is needed for our generator installation team for the GSPS (Golden State Power) Division. You will spend most of your time working in the field providing high quality work and excellent customer satisfaction. You will support installations as needing including
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma
3 years’ experience with gas line plumbing
Preferred Qualifications:
Plumbing license form CSLB
6+ years of experience in the areas of gas line Plumbing.
HVAC, Electrician, Car Mechanics, solar, or handymanexperience is helpful
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Install new gas-lines to code- includes EQ valves, shut-off valves, hard pipe, poly, flex lines, etc.
Perform leak and pressure tests
Install pressure regulators as needed
Perform trench work as needed
Ensure generator operation
Support installation team in delivery and placement of generators
Support electricians in installation of conduit
Support technicians in troubleshooting
Perform light landscaping work as part of generator placement
Maintain friendly and professional relationships with homeowners
Company truck and tools provided
Support permit signoffs
Perform planned and unplanned maintenance
Purchase and organize tools and materials needed to complete jobs
Troubleshooting and repairing equipment
Other Duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to accurately size gas lines for generator installations
Must be comfortable working in crawlspaces, digging trenches and working in attics
Willingness to train, learn and keep up to date in the Generator industry
Excellent interpersonal communication skills (Ability to read, write, speak, and understand verbally.)
Able to work independently and on a team
Valid Driver's License with clean driving history
LEVEL OF INDEPENDENCE : This position acts under the direction of the Installation manager for the GSPS Division.
COMPENSATION:
Energy Systems is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The hourly rate for this role based in Stockton, CA is $30.12 - $42.15. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short term and long-term incentives.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to use hands to manipulate objects, tools, or controls; and talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to walk; stoop; crouch; bend and reach above shoulders. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance, waist high, up to 10 feet away. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be working in the typical conditions of a manufacturing environment including seasonal variation in temperatures and occasional exposure to manufacturing fumes or by-products. The employee must comply with the assigned location PPE requirements including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, appropriate gloves, clothing, and shields for required tasks and closed toed or safety shoes as required by facility safety policies.
Physical Demands : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
