What You Will Do

The Demand Planner is responsible for evaluating demands from internal customers, preparing comprehensive demand plans, maintaining appropriate forecast plan, facilitating intern forecast discussions, conducting monthly demand business reviews, implementing managing data integrity processes, developing and reviewing performance metrics, coordinating the analysis of monthly demand, resolving gaps between financial and statistical forecasts, recommending outsourcing if demand exceeds capacity, and producing and reviewing monthly reports: MAPE, BIAS; Inventory, SLOBS and OTIF D.

Main activities:

  • Develop and maintain demand forecasts for assigned products and markets, utilizing statistical forecasting tools and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Analyze historical sales data and market trends to identify demand patterns and opportunities for improvement.

  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to understand market trends and customer needs to ensure accurate demand forecasting.

  • Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels while minimizing excess inventory and obsolescence.

  • Identify and communicate potential supply chain disruptions and work with cross-functional teams to develop contingency plans.

  • Continuously improve demand planning processes and tools to increase accuracy and efficiency.

  • Provide regular reports and analysis to management on demand planning performance and market trends.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive demand plans for specific business unit(s) / product line(s) in alignment with internal customer demands.

  • Analyze internal capacity and develop plans to align supply and demand to meet customer requirements.

  • Facilitate interim forecast discussions and updates with supply chain partners and internal cross-functional business partners to clarify demand requirements and drive improvements in forecast accuracy.

  • Conduct monthly demand business reviews and coordinate the analysis of monthly demand to ensure accuracy and identify trends.

  • Implement and manage forecasting software and supporting systems to improve forecasting accuracy.

  • Develop and review performance metrics in areas of quality, cost, and delivery in support of the key supplier scorecards and business reviews.

  • Research, recommend and implement multiple statistical models to develop and drive consensus forecasts for assigned business segments.

  • Produce and review monthly reports within specified time frames.

  • Ensure compliance with current regulations and standards.

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

Skills:

  • 4 years of experience in Demand Planning.

  • Advanced in statistical forecasting tools and ERP systems.

  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on increasing accuracy and efficiency.

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Fluent in English and Spanish. Portuguese strongly preferred.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate discussions with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in forecasting software and supporting systems.
