Job Description:
Oversees maintenance of equipment and facility to ensure efficient operations. This role is tasked with overseeing regulatory requirement compliance for building and equipment. Directly responsible for, and manages, a small team of technicians across all shifts. Oversees repairs and recommends purchases of equipment as needed. Involves special emphasis on equipment related to automation. Manages vendor and internal relationships appropriately and professionally. Must be flexible to work all shifts, as needed.
• Supervise, coach, train staff members on preventative maintenance, safety, and regulatory compliance
• Effectively accomplish departmental and distribution goals
• Is directly responsible for staff, to include coaching, development, and performance management
• Contributes to the planning of technicians across shifts, and planning of scheduled maintenance for the facility
• Independently prioritize and complete multiple tasks/requests with established timeframes
• Manage repair and maintenance of equipment, maintaining safety, and prioritizing production-related repairs
• Assist maintenance associates with diagnosis and repairs when necessary
• Manages contractor bids for repairs, staying within budgetary guidelines
• Implements and maintains preventative maintenance and repair processes
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Utilize advanced knowledge of conveyance equipment and industrial control systems (PLC)
Establishes preventative maintenance schedules for all systems, equipment, and buildings including ammonia refrigeration system, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, fire protection and security systems, electrical and energy management, dock doors/dock plate systems, power industrial equipment, building components (roof, interior and exterior floors/walls, doors, paved surfaces and landscaping).
Complies with local, state and federal regulatory agencies (i.e., OSHA, etc.)
Coordinates emergency response or crisis management activities, develops and maintains liaisons with local emergency management and other entities in order to facilitate plan development, response effort coordination and assists Safety Manager with training initiatives.
• Manage equipment utilization to ensure operations can deliver on daily service plans
• Move and handle equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
• Oversee facility waste disposal, recycling, and FDA compliance programs, ensuring waste is appropriately disposed of

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED Equivalent Experience
Required Experience:
3 – 5 Years
• 5 years relevant experience, including managing repair/upkeep of industrial automation equipment, facility management in distribution/warehouse environment
•We will consider candidates with 3 strong years of experience in high-volume automated facilities which are 500,000+ ft2
• 2 years direct people management experience

• Obtain a Powered Industrial Equipment Certification from PFG within 3 months.
• Certificate in diesel engines, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and braking systems preferred.
• Certificate in fleet trade/mechanic preferred.
