JPMorgan Chase VP, Manager of Advisor & Servicing Desktop Analytics in Columbus, Ohio

As an analytics manager, you will help execute our product strategies for the JPMorgan Wealth Management (JPMWM) business unit which includes dedicated financial advisors, pooled remote advice, and our online investing platforms. Reporting to the Head of Product & Experience Analytics, this is a producing manager role that will be central in delivering insights to enable new capabilities and tools that enable our advisors and service teams

Job Responsibilities

  • Establishing an analytic roadmap to uncover how advisors engage with existing desktop tools, diagnose opportunities to improve workflows, and deliver new product capabilities that increase field productivity

  • Providing expertise as to how data visualization, greedy algorithms, machine learning, and text analytics/NLP can be leveraged to uncover feature usage patterns, system gaps, potential performance enhancements, and areas to improve the user experience

  • Leveraging Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning to build new tools that drive meaningful change in the way Advisors and Service teams consume information

  • Partnering with Research and Design teams to diagnose client servicing pain points and re-imagine journeys across the client experience to drive product roadmaps

  • Developing and launching a series of data-driven next best actions for our advisors to improve productivity and increase client satisfaction

  • Helping a team member to improve their analysis by testing new data, identifying false positive/negatives, or editing their storyline to be more impactful

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Demonstrated history of managing high performing quantitative analysts and data scientists in the delivery of analytics and machine learning to build world class employee tools

  • Have demonstrated experience in implementing Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning solutions in a business context, preferably in the financial services industry

  • Possess a unique combination of technical skills and storytelling to be able to apply a range of descriptive to prescriptive analytic techniques to complex business problems

  • Know when the "juice is worth the squeeze" - you stay abreast of new analytic techniques but can recognize and apply a more straightforward analytic approach when the question you are answering is less complex

  • Comfortably navigate hierarchy, culture, and politics; you run meetings with grace and agility, ask the right questions, disagree without being disagreeable, and can flex your communication style with "business" and "technical" audiences

  • Have a strong presence, excellent presentation skills (both written and verbal), and low ego with the ability to deliver insights and recommendations to influence senior stakeholders ranging from highly technical to math-a-phobic

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Previously worked in a data science function at a financial services firm or in consulting

  • Have experience in a field-based sales environment with demonstrated success delivering insights to CRM systems such as Salesforce

  • Have knowledge of data governance and ethical considerations in AI, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations

  • Possess a deep understanding of how the wealth management market is evolving, the sources of competitive differentiation in the market, and how those could evolve
