Mettler Toledo LLC Telemarketing Specialist - Bilingual (English/French) in Columbus, Ohio

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities Summary: The position is structured to generate new sales leads and to market designated products, including service contracts in direct and distribution territories through outbound Business to Business phone calls and captured in the SAP data base. Activities include participation in specified segment marketing campaigns, qualification of pre-sales suspect and prospect customers, pre-qualification of customer contact information and nurturing leads as well as supporting the needs of the department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: *Call on customers to advise them of available products and services offerings. *Entry of sales leads for external sales pursuit; and pursuit of select open leads for closure. *Qualify sales leads by assessing need, budget, and buying authority. Obtain basic qualifying information including (but not limited to) time frame for purchase, decision maker(s), budget, influencing factors, and next step in the sales process. *Effective nurturing of leads; building relationships by conducting ongoing, informative dialog that helps qualified prospects who are not yet sales-ready. *Assist manager and senior management by providing monthly updates about recurring business issues that require a proactive approach, or trends that suggest alternate sales offers or approaches. *Responsible for duties associated with the management of account and contact information within the CRM system. *Track all outbound and inbound calls in SAP and capture specific customer and product details related to the call. *Responsible for actively driving revenue by engaging in planned and agreed to direct sales. *Willingness and ability to back up other divisions when called upon. A proactive approach to interpreting the customer's requirements and assist in addressing the customer's needs. *Decision-making - Ability to make confident and reasoned decisions in the execution of the telemarketing functions. Decision making authority includes when and how to involve other departments and teams to ensure that targeted campaigns are achieving expected results. *Customer Focus - Establish and maintain an open, professional and efficient means of communication with all customers, both internal and external. *Team Work/Cross-Functional Effectiveness - Ability to work effectively and efficiently with other team members to achieve common goals in a highly variable and often stressful customer call-service environment. *Professionalism - Display and demonstration at all times in one's mode of speech, dress, and personal behavior. Ability to work with minimal supervision. *Time Management - Successful management of one's own time in order to maximize efficiencies and workload output. Ability to prioritize work flow on a daily basis. Ability to effectively plan and organize work responsibilities.
