This position will be located in our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. Job Accountabilities: Provide capacity management through understanding future business requirements, the IT infrastructure, and ensuring that all current and future capacity and performance aspects of the business requirements are provided cost-effectively Participate as a team member of projects of all sizes. Lead medium-to-large sized projects Take direction from management. Provide guidance to junior team members Meets or surpasses uptime objectives for primary equipment responsibilities Recommends cost- or timesaving methods for hardware maintenance support for the life cycle of applicable hardware platform and repairs as needed Works during non-standard hours to include weekends and holidays will be placed on a rotating on call schedule to ensure that the 2 hour on-site service obligations are met Maintains a detailed knowledge of the interaction and interconnection of CAS storage solutions providing the necessary capacity for company needs Serves as task leader for large or technically complex projects involving a variety of storage solutions defines objectives, establishes directions, and develops plans Serves as a technical consultant to staff involved in the selection of hardware, including the integration of mixed-vendor hardware Employs vendor documentation, diagnostic software, and various machine languages to ensure that various devices are properly integrated into CAS' environment Maintains frequent contact with vendor representatives to resolve specific hardware problems and addresses project requirements or issues Installs and/or assists with vendor installation of new equipment. Develops hardware implementation plans to ensure successful installation. Removes and/or assists with vendor removal of equipment at end-of-life cycle Participate in Disaster Recovery planning and tests as scheduled. The candidate will be required to provide Production 24x7 coverage (when required) and support weekend implementations. Supervisory/managerial experience desired. Excellent Problem-Solving skills and the ability to navigate challenging situations in a professional manner Proven leadership capability Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and listening skills Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, management, direct reports, clients and especially non-technical users. Ability to handle personal, sensitive, and confidential information discreetly Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in computer information systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, MIS or relevant majors. 5-7 years of experience with storage technology A strong commitment to a career in technology and a passion/aptitude for storage technology. Demonstrated curious and inquisitive learning mindset. Demonstrated intentional leadership experience.
