Battelle Memorial Institute Subcontracts Associate in Columbus, Ohio

Battelle is seeking a Subcontracts Associate . The position is located in Columbus, OH .


Assists with and coordinates subcontracts for services and materials of low risk to the business unit. Work typically consists of repetitive functions under supervison. Handles routine or standard subcontract agreements and related documentation in accordance with established procurement policies and procedures, and government laws and regulations. Coordinates activities and assists team members as needed.


  • Assists more senior staff with issuing RFP/RFQ’s for standard products. Ensures compliance with appropriate laws, regulations and Battelle policies.

  • Assists and coordiantes vendor proposals/quotes. May assist in the review of solicitations and and coordinates supporting documentation.

  • Coordinates agreements of low complexity. May assist in problem resolution.

  • Prepares, organizes and maintains procurement records and file documentation in an audit ready condition. Assists in identifing basic compliance problems and provides recommended solutions. Implements solutions as directed by management.

  • Under the direction of senior procurement staff and management, assists in the analysis of procurement requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions, and contract flow downs to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations and Battelle policies.


• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
