Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our growing Water/Wastewater group in Ohio (Akron, Cincinnati, Columbus, Cleveland).

As a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with both local staff and national experts with design staff and team members on a wide range of drinking water, and wastewater treatment projects, sewer condition assessment and rehabilitation projects, urban sustainability projects including green infrastructure, and infrastructure projects tied to developing areas or replacing old infrastructure (lead water pipes, brick sewers, etc).

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing and reviewing working drawings, plans, cost estimates, studies, reports, and other work products

  • Analysis and design of water and wastewater treatment, storage, pumping, collection, and distribution systems

  • Must be capable of performing independent tasks, reviewing technical work of others

  • Mentoring and training junior level staff

  • Writing technical reports and memoranda

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Face to face interaction with clients

  • Independently manage technical tasks and staff

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS and 6+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Professional Engineer’s license

  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant water/wastewater related experience

  • Experience and familiarity with the following programs: ArcGIS, CADD, hydraulic analysis, process modeling

  • Strong analytical and computation skills

  • Knowledge of civil engineering design principles
