The Senior Project Excellence Professional is a results-oriented change agent who manages all aspects of a project, from scoping through execution, so that it is completed on time and within budget. The Senior Project Excellence Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

The Senior Project Excellence Professional for the Provider Process & Network Organization is a self-starter, team player, and collaborator who builds trust. The candidate will work in an environment with ever changing legal, regulatory, and industry requirements and must be adaptable in order to work with different personalities and project topics. The candidate must understand how to define the scope of a project, facilitate/document scope of a project, facilitation of root cause analysis, data collection/analysis, project planning, resource planning, and status reporting.
As a business partner in the development of new strategies and initiatives, the process excellence professional is responsible for managing all phases of the project cycle which includes initiation (scope management), planning (activity definition and scheduling, resource planning, budgeting, and risk management) execution (stakeholder, team, and milestones/tasks management), control (scope verification and change control, cost and quality, and risk monitoring), and closing (closeout, issue resolution, lessons learned, and final project documentation).

Assesses business and operational needs for opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, effectiveness and accuracy
Review expectations/deliverables prepared by senior leadership/ business owner
Understand financial ROI
Coordinate deliverables with business owner
Coordinate and maintain project plan and drive towards deliverables
Develop clear and concise documentation
Provide strong organization and effective communication skills (oral and written)
Conduct meetings and disseminate communication related to deliverables (agendas, minutes, project planning documents, etc.)
Facilitate regular status meetings with business owner/project teams/steering committees
Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely manner
Communicate effectively with project stakeholders up to and including leadership
Conflict management skills
Obtain additional knowledge by asking questions, exploring different options, being creative and thorough, and open to new ideas
Regular use of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project, Outlook, SharePoint and Visio
Project Standards: (Charter, RACI Model/Roles and Responsibilities, Governance Structure, Project Plan, Risk/Issues Tracking)
Comfortable working on new projects with limited knowledge/expertise of the content and be able to learn quickly in order to effectively manage the implementation

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Lean Six Sigma
5+ of end-to-end process management experience
5+ years of project management experience
5+ years experience in translating requirements between business, project management, and technical projects or programs
Experience managing medium to large scale projects with a payor and/or healthcare background
Ability to organize and maintain all project artifacts
Ability to manage stakeholders and hold them accountable for deliverables
Ability to facilitate meetings with multiple participants of varying levels capturing all relevant information
Proficiency in communicating effectively with project stakeholders up to and including senior level leadership
Regular use of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project, Outlook and Visio
Role Desirables

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria:
At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.
Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.
Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$86,300 - $118,700 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
