As a Senior Lead Security Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Employee Platforms - Core Data Risk Management team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to deliver software solutions that satisfy pre-defined functional and user requirements with the added dimension of preventing misuse, circumvention, and malicious behavior. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of cybersecurity challenges that span multiple technology domains.
Job responsibilities
Facilitates security requirements clarification for multiple networks to enable multi-level security to satisfy organizational needs
Interact with Technology Leadership, Line of Business (LOB) experts, and Application Development teams on an on-going basis for business as usual remediation activities, Audit and other risk-related activities, reporting and project initiatives
Works with stakeholders and senior business leaders to recommend business modifications during periods of vulnerability
Manage responsibilities for triaging based on risk assessments of various threats and managing resources to cover impact of disruptive events
Develop and maintain robust relationships, becoming a trusted partner with LOB technologists, assessments teams, and data officers to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and progress toward shared goals
Execute reporting and governance of controls, policies, issue management, and measurements, offering senior management insights into control effectiveness and inform governance work
Proactively monitor and evaluate control effectiveness, identify gaps, and recommend enhancements to strengthen risk posture and regulatory compliance
Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on data governance concepts and 5+ years applied experience
Skilled in planning, designing, and implementing enterprise-level security solutions
Experience and proficiency across the data lifecycle
Experience with database back-up, data recovery, data retention and archiving strategies
Advanced in one or more programming languages
Advanced knowledge of data governance practices for software application development and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
Extensive experience with threat modeling, discovery, vulnerability, and penetration testing
Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
Practical cloud native experience
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
AWS Certifications
Strong understanding of platform, database and domain access
Experience with Databricks or Immuta
Familiarity with Data Regulations and HR Policies
