JPMorgan Chase Risk Management - Card Risk Governance and Exam Readiness - Vice President in Columbus, Ohio

As a Card Risk Governance - Vice President in the Consumer & Business Banking (CBB) Risk Management group, you will support change management and governance activities to provide oversight of the day-to-day operations of the Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) organization. You will manage formal governance steps that bring awareness to cross-Card strategic initiatives while ensuring a robust, thorough, and well documented approval process. In addition, other responsibilities include supporting the Card CRO Leadership Team in handling inquiries both from within and outside of the team and coordinating completion of action items related to strategic planning, recurring deliverables, and emerging issues. Your ability to influence a matrixed management structure across multiple functions, LOBs, and senior leaders is a key factor to your success in the role.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the management of the Card Risk change management governance process including the advisory groups and committees, as well as, supporting new business and reputation risk review

  • Serve as the central point of contact to organize key executive and recurring regulator requests

  • Establish communication across all teams within the organization in order to identify opportunities, resolve issues, and implement modifications

  • Work with other support functions to ensure completion of all requirements on behalf of the team (e.g., Learning & Development, HR, Finance, etc.)

  • Manage special projects to complete critical work for Card Risk function

  • Handle confidential information in a professional manner

  • Ensure all periodic reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually) and functional review processes are executed; ensure accountability and completion of action items from reviews

  • Build and maintain relationships with peers inside and outside the organization and ensure strong collaboration across teams

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with at least 6 years work experience

  • Must have prior governance or credit risk experience, including experience turning findings into executable plans

  • Demonstrated excellent analytical, problem resolution, and decision-making skills with superior judgment, team building, and presentation skills

  • Flexibility to work under continual deadline pressure required

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Adaptability to deal with ambiguity associated with working in a fast paced and changing environment

  • Ability to deal with conflict and multiple constituencies

  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous objectives is imperative
