The Payor Financial Analyst will be involved in the development and maintenance of payor reimbursement information and reports with a major focus on revenue cycle projects. The Reimbursement Analyst person will also function as the liaison with the Patient Accounts department to quantify payor related issues.

• Provides ongoing reporting, analysis, and trouble-shooting support for the Payor Relations Department.
• Provides reporting and data analysis support toward revenue cycle enhancement.
• Ensures external contract rate loading and internal verification of contract rates.
• Provides contract modeling and analysis during payor contract negotiations.
• Ensures data file integrity and quality reporting methods.
• Develops and supports Payor Relations reporting to monitor the performance of various hospital service lines, programs, procedures, payor mix and reimbursement.
• Establishes and maintains high standards of service to internal customers. Maintains confidentiality of sensitive data.
Education: Bachelor’s degree required with concentrated study in health care administration/management, business administration, accounting, or healthcare informatics.
Skills: Excellent financial and analytical skills as well as the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization. Proficient in report writing, financial/patient accounting systems maintenance and data analysis. Working knowledge of procedure coding and claims billing standards. High level of expertise in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced abilities with pivot tables, macros and advanced functions. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Experience: Minimum two years of progressively responsible experience in financial analysis, report writing, or contract analysis in a healthcare setting.
MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Note frequency as Constantly (67-100%), Frequently (34-66%) and Occasionally (0-33%) for each requirement. Also note any lifting requirements with pound limit.
