About the role The Logistics Operations Manager is responsible for the direction and overall performance of the Logistics Center; as well as delivery of quality, customized solutions that support the strategic objectives for operational excellence, efficiencies and exceptional customer service. Provides leadership for the organizational operations by monitoring and evaluating activities consistent with established goals, objectives and policies. Oversees operating budgets; monitors budget performance and ensures budget and key performance indicators are met What you'll do Effectively oversees staffing and management decisions; professionally lead, coach and develop a team to meet and exceed expectations while creating opportunities for successor talent and employee engagement. Manage various outsourced solutions while ensuring established operational goals and procedures are being followed according to Company operating standards. Effectively oversees the execution of strategic plans; executes short and long-term operational plans to successfully achieve company and customer objectives. Directs and implements special projects with network-wide impact as assigned, may include the following: develop and implement processes, migration plans, and training plans for new Logistics Centers; evaluate and audit processes across all LC's; and oversee ISO pilot sites and other system enhancements. Drives continuous improvement initiatives to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation and utilization of the Logistics Center. What we're looking for Work Experience: Minimum of 8 years progressive leadership experience in logistics/supply chain management/distribution industry at a senior level. Six Sigma/lean experience. Required Education: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required: Communicates clearly and conveys necessary information Exhibits the ability to be sensitive to the needs, concerns, and feelings of others Recognizes and attends to important details with accuracy and efficiency Ability to effectively work autonomously under remote leadership. Effectively engages and interacts with Executive leadership in formal settings Effectively develops and presents business cases and return on investment analysis Possesses strong leadership skills with a willingness to lead, create new ideas, and be assertive Possesses strong multi-cultural interpersonal skills Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Distribution center environment may include: exposure to extreme temperatures; high noise levels; high places; wet and/or humid conditions; and outside weather conditions Some travel required What's In It For You?
