Mission: To provide timely organizational support for vascular access with expertise to minimize harm and optimize long term vessel health. Vision: Establish Nationwide Children's Hospital as a national leader for safe, reliable, and innovative pediatric vascular access care across the patient journey. Shift: Part-Time, Nights 7p-7a, 12hr shifts, Every 3rd weekend with holiday requirement Varied number of shifts per week available as desired by qualified applicant. FTE & Shift Options 0.9 FTE: (3) 12hr 7p-7a shifts per week 0.75 FTE: (3) 12 hour 7p-7a shifts one week and (2) 12 hour 7p-7a shifts the second week 0.6 FTE: (2) 12 hour 7p-7a shifts per week Benefits Eligible, Non-Exempt Minimum Rate of Pay: $37.40 (Eligible for evening, night, and weekend shift differentials in addition) The Nurse Clinician (NC) ensures high standards of nursing care practice for pediatric patients and select adult patients and their families. The NC fosters effective communication among health care professionals who provide nursing care to children with altered health states. The NC develops and implements educational programs for patients, parents and families, hospital staff, and community health personnel. Participates actively as a member of the patient care services and care coordination team. Demonstrates competencies as defined (*) in Nurse Clinician responsibilities in providing age-appropriate care to patients from birth to age 21, and select adult patients. Responsibilities The Nurse Clinician implements and supports the philosophy, mission, values, standards, policies and procedures of Children's Hospital and the Patient Care Services Division. 1. The Nurse Clinician performs care coordination core functions which include: a. screening and identification of patients b. establishment of therapeutic relationship with patient/family c. assessment of patient/family strengths and needs d. development of a family-centered plan of care e. procurement and coordination of services f. monitoring and evaluation of progress 2.
