JPMorgan Chase .Net Software Engineer in Columbus, Ohio
As a member of our Software Engineering group, in the Check - Exceptions and Returns product, you will be solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices. You'll be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner continuously with your many stakeholders on a daily basis to stay focused on common goals. As a Software Engineer in the Exceptions and Returns area product, you are responsible for the following:
Collaborate with business partners and other software engineers
Perform development, testing, deployment, and support related to the application life cycle
Analyze and document complex issues with recommended solutions and initiating corrective action
Drive application enhancements, including analysis, design, and user acceptance
Act as the technical liaison between users, vendors, risk, infrastructure, and other products
Prioritize and manage stability, risk, and resiliency across all our application and work efforts
Manage and coordinate day-to-day functions of processing on assigned applications
Perform system validation post application and infrastructure changes, plus major events
Assist with support of vendor management
Participate on incidents and problems as necessary
Skills and Qualifications:
5+ years of software development and SDLC experience
5+ years of Microsoft .Net language (VB.Net preferred)
5+ years of SQL Server/Oracle application development experience
3+ years of experience working on client/server applications
Expert knowledge of source code management tools/techniques
Expert knowledge of software and pipeline automation
Experience with an enterprise scheduler and managed file transfers
Experience with application performance monitoring, logging analytics, and synthetic monitoring
Experience using code quality control, automated testing, and application code security tools like Sonar, SSAP, or similar tools
Experience in an agile development organization and proficient with Jira and agile methodologies
Strong understanding of design patterns, data modeling, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
Ability to work in a cross-functional, collaborative team environment
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Business Administration
Additional skillsets/knowledge is a plus: Java, APIs, cloud computing, containers, event streaming and messaging services (Kafka/MQ)
