Job Description

The Marketing Principal is responsible for developing, planning, implementing and evaluating marketing strategies, as well as defining audience-appropriate tactics and distribution channels to support Prime’s growth. This role provides an integrated and strategic approach to marketing, understanding the company’s business objectives and translating them into effective and compelling communications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and development of progressive and effective marketing strategies, product launches and/or campaigns that support Prime’s brand and drive sales of Prime and its products, programs and services; support implementation efforts as needed

  • Collaborate with cross-functional business partners and stakeholders on the senior leadership team to deeply understand Prime’s business objectives, product offerings, client utilization/adoption and history, and intended market positioning

  • Translate business insights into marketing strategies and create messaging that is clear, defensible and differentiates Prime and our products and services in the market

  • Provide strategic writing expertise and direction for creative strategies in alignment with company-wide initiatives; ensure Prime’s key messages are consistent throughout all marketing pieces

  • Monitor relevant market conditions and trends in order to drive effective messaging and tactics to targeted audiences

  • Own prioritization of strategic and department level initiatives and projects; manage multiple projects and initiatives; ensure messaging and deliverables align to enterprise strategy

  • Provide mentorship, subject matter expertise and advice to less experienced members of the team and provide ongoing strategic guidance on various projects and programs

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required

  • 8 years of work experience in related marketing roles, including B2B marketing, product marketing and/or communications

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Additional Qualifications

  • Superior interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively facilitate meetings, resolve conflict, build consensus, establish rapport and collaborate effectively across departments, internally and externally, and at all levels within an organization

  • Strong relationship management with ability to gain leadership credibility across the organization

  • Demonstrated ability to drive forward company initiatives at senior management levels

  • High detail orientation with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and without compromising quality

  • Ability to understand business needs, translate these to others on team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the health insurance or Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) industry

  • Leadership/people management experience

  • MBA or MBC

  • Brand development and positioning experience

Minimum Physical Job Requirements

  • Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear

  • Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch

  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to a Manager, Director or Sr Director in the Marketing department

Potential pay for this position ranges from $109,000.00 - $174,000.00 based on experience and skills. Pay range may vary by 8% depending on applicant location.
