KEMBA Financial Credit Union Marketing Communications Coordinator in Columbus, Ohio

Title: Marketing Communications Coordinator

Reports to: Marketing Manager

Supervises: None

Status: Non-Exempt

Objective

The Marketing Communications Coordinator is an ambitious, creative and detail-oriented individual -- with strong proofing and editing skills -- who can simultaneously support and engage in various marketing projects and tactics, develop compelling content, and coordinate with multiple departments and external vendors to ensure the successful execution of marketing strategies to fulfill the credit union's overall goals and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the marketing team on the creation and development of innovative ideas and concepts for individual marketing plans, campaigns, promotions, and general credit union initiatives
    • Reviews, edits and/or originates letters regarding account information or notices for brand tone and accuracy
    • Develops promotional letters
    • Creates statement messages and graphics
  • Oversees and tracks member communication (print and electronic), partnering internally or with selected vendors
  • Supports with collateral development, including development and updates to existing documents, as well as various marketing assets (including print ads, postcards, etc.)
  • Fosters strong relationships with a internal and external stakeholders, to communicate, negotiate, orchestrate, and persuade parties effectively while accepting constructive criticism and maintaining professional behavior, which includes resolving internal requests and questions related to marketing initiatives
  • Coordinates and manages inventory of branded supplies and promotional signage by working with printers, service agencies, advertisers, and other vendors/suppliers to ensure timely project completion to branches, corporate office, community resources, and other relevant parties
  • Creates and distributes internal communications to applicable associates regarding timeframe and features of marketing promotions and notifications
  • Manages content of branch digital signage for promotional purposes
  • Serves as a back-up for internal email design and distribution as well as website content updates
  • Leads various aspects of marketing research; including, but not limited to:
    • General industry research, trends, and guidelines
    • Competitive intelligence
    • Implementation if internal (current members) and external (Central Ohio population) brand surveys
  • Supports activities for: General Events/Community Outreach, Annual Meetings, grand openings, branch special events, etc.
  • Assumes responsibility for depositing select cash-back rewards to member accounts resulting from marketing initiatives
  • Manages phone system on-hold messaging and various scripts by request
  • Manages content on marketing section of intranet
  • Helps to ensure marketing compliance
  • Attends and actively engages in marketing meetings and activities
  • Works with cross-functional teams to fulfill credit union initiatives and strategic plans as requested
  • Completes special projects as assigned
  • Understands and complies with credit union policies, laws, and regulations

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Minimum of one year marketing or related experience
