Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair, and operation products, is searching for a Maintenance Specialist for our Columbus, OH location. At Kimball Midwest, you are a name and not a number and we pride ourselves on our unique culture. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance on all warehouse equipment. Inspections of all fire extinguishers in accordance with the guidelines located in Human Resources or other safety equipment, as assigned. Perform minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs as they occur. Completes maintenance checklist daily. Ensures the cleanliness of all Company facilities, including restrooms. Assists in planning for changes in material handling systems and plant layout to accommodate sales growth and increased purchasing. May be required to drive personal or company vehicle to make pick up or delivery of materials. Qualifications Past experience in general maintenance systems, preferably in the distribution industry or related field. Ability to concentrate and to communicate with management, co-workers, and supervisors. Ability to read and write small letters and numbers; the ability to make arithmetic calculations; and the ability to understand written and oral instructions. Adaptable to varying environmental conditions (i.e. heat, humidity, dust, toxic and/or non-toxic chemicals This position requires a valid drivers license. Additional Information The hours are 2:30 - 11pm, Monday-Friday, after training period.
