Description We are in need of a skilled IT Technical Specialist to join our team based in Columbus, Ohio. This role is instrumental in supporting and maintaining the middleware infrastructure required for the development teams throughout the system development lifecycle. The successful candidate will have a strong background in various technologies including DataPower MQ WebSphere IIB/ACE Apache Tomcat ColdFusion Kubernetes and OpenShift. This is a contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Support and maintain the Enterprise-Class Middleware and Container stack supporting a multitude of mission critical systems.

• Manage new capabilities, software upgrades/enhancements and provide direct support and consultation for application on-boarding and integration.

• Participate in on-call support rotation for critical systems.

• Automate existing and new processes to increase operational efficiencies.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Middleware and Container technologies.

• Collaborate with development teams to provide technical expertise and guidance.

• Ensure high availability and performance of Middleware and Container systems through proactive monitoring and maintenance.

• Continuously improve processes and procedures for Middleware operations.

• Understand and contribute to the development of overall IT strategies.

• Stay informed about industry trends in technology and architecture.

• Participate in team meetings, reviews, and project status reports. Requirements • Proven experience in software engineering and operations.

• Extensive knowledge of procedures related to software development.

• Proficiency in providing workstation support.

• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.

• Experience in onboarding new team members and providing necessary training.

• Knowledge of automation processes and tools.

• Strong understanding of engineering principles and methodologies.

• Proficiency in JavaScript and Python programming languages.

• Experience in systems integration.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites.

• Strong interpersonal skills for team collaboration.

• Experience in the financial services sector would be advantageous.

• Ability to handle technical issues and provide solutions.

• Experience in editing software code.

• Knowledge of the Go programming language.

• Understanding of Unix - SCO, Sinix Aix, Linux etc.

• Experience with AWS Technologies.

• Familiarity with XML Technologies.

• Proven ability in enhancement of existing software.

• Knowledge of PHP programming language.

• Experience with GIT for version control.

• Proficiency in using Mac Computers.

• Ability to provide consultation on software issues.
