IS Epic Senior Application Analyst - Clinical Improvement Requisition ID 2024-53372 Overview The IS Applications Senior Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing business needs, defining requirements, developing solutions, implementing systems, and managing installed applications in support of the Business/Clinical applications at Nationwide Children's Hospital. The IS Applications Senior Systems Analyst will have a thorough understanding of applications and database in a complex client/server architecture. A Senior Systems Analyst provides mentoring and leadership for the Applications team through a thorough knowledge of business and healthcare operations and supporting technology, and project management. Responsibilities Systems Analysis and Support Plans, designs, develops, tests, implements, and supports information systems to meet organizational needs. Provides customer service to define business needs and translate those needs into system functionality requirements. Provides analysis on system design specifications and system/product evaluation. Provides system coding and programming as required. Develops and implements data queries and reports as needed. Creates and maintains high quality system, report, and interface test scripts. Assures data integrity and system survivability by developing and maintaining Disaster Recovery plans for the identity management systems, understands and approves back up procedures, business continuity/high availability, tests DR plans and system restores, and maintains current data in DR databases and tools. Assist to determine and defines necessary budget items to support assigned systems. Coordinates IS resources for project and operational support. Develops system documentation. Provides effective user training and support. Provides troubleshooting, problem analysis, debugging, and resolution of assigned system issues. Performs system updates, patches, service releases, and upgrades as needed. IS Operational Support Utilizes IS Operational support systems to include the Help Desk, Change Control, Problem Management, source and version control, and other systems as required; leads the development of these systems through feedback and analysis, and assists in enforcing the support and use of these systems throughout IS.
