Robert Half Intake Coordinator in Columbus, Ohio

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Intake Coordinator in Columbus, Ohio. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service to consumers, maintaining order in the lobby area, and managing customer documentation. This role involves a variety of tasks, from scheduling appointments to monitoring front desk activity, all within a busy and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by actively listening and responding to customer’s needs in a timely manner.

• Direct and inform customers about agency programs, providing eligibility criteria and scheduling appointments where appropriate.

• Maintain order in the lobby area and promptly acknowledge customers in person.

• Answer phone calls promptly and professionally.

• Manage customer documentation, ensuring all paperwork is accurately and efficiently processed.

• Handle basic troubleshooting of case inquiries before escalating to a manager.

• Monitor front desk activity, ensuring no customer waits more than thirty minutes for their appointment.

• Serve as an advocate with utility vendors and community agencies, providing accurate information to customers.

• Assume other duties as assigned by the Intake Manager or Director.

• Experience in Booking, Confirming, and Rescheduling Appointments. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Intake Coordinator or in a similar role.

• Proficiency in CRM and Microsoft Office Suites.

• Proven understanding of benefit and billing functions in a healthcare setting.

• Excellent customer service skills and ability to provide superior customer service.

• Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems.

• Familiarity with scanning and scanning documents.

• Ability to efficiently manage patient appointments including scheduling, rescheduling, confirming, and booking appointments.

• Strong data entry skills, with prior experience in performing computer data entry.

• Experience assisting on-site visitors.

• Comfortable handling switchboard phones with multiple lines.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Professional demeanor in all interactions.

• Ability to provide superior customer service to all patients and visitors.
