Description The Inside Sales Manager plays a key role in providing daily hands-on leadership for the Area Inside Sales department. This position is responsible for supervising, monitoring, and providing leadership to the Area Inside Sales staff. The Manager ensures prompt, efficient, quality service by effectively overseeing the dynamics of the team. Responsibilities of Position: Manage Inside Sales staff and inbound call queue. Train and manage Inside Sales staff to market and develop revenue opportunities. Coach and train staff to answer incoming phone calls, address customer inquiries, and dispatch calls appropriately. Maximize the closing ratio of inbound "D" level commercial accounts that can be closed over the phone. Revenue growth for commercial and temporary lines of business. Develop and maintain Area-wide sales book. Oversee and manage Area administrative functions. Supervise Sales administrative staff. Perform follow-up audits on billing and SoftPac information, database management. Manage and disperse monthly Milk run lists to ADS reps. Responsible for monthly revenue net new business sales summary report. Design and implement strategies for reporting and paper flow efficiencies. Oversee all administrative reporting functions. Facilitate price increase activity. Provide Sales support for Outside Sales staff. Support reps by answering questions and problem-solving. Provide inside sales support for all Area sales representatives and assist in the successful achievement of budgeted sales goals. Assist in finalizing and processing new order paperwork. Serve as back-up when needed for Area sales associates. Other duties as assigned. Skills & Abilities Needed for Position: Excellent verbal & written communication skills. Must be organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask. General knowledge of office functions. Must work efficiently and effectively, both independently and as a team. Able to meet deadlines and complete assignments within stated time frames. Ability to always present and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor. Excellent customer service and data entry skills. Computer proficiency in Windows and Microsoft applications; AS400, and Lotus Notes applications experience, a plus. Proven analytical/problem solving solutions for the customer and the company. Physical Requirements in a Regular workday: Rarely lifting/carrying a max of 10lbs. Rarely pushing/pulling a max of 10lbs. Frequently Sitting in Office Environment Continuous hand/finger dexterity Additional Working Conditions/Aspects: Ability to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays. Must be available for 24-hour emergency calls. Legally eligible to work in the United States. Valid driver's license (if applicable). Must successfully complete pre-employment testing. Must be able to read and speak the English language.
