Job Title: 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician

Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you'll be responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with various company equipment ranging from production equipment to warehouse bay doors. Your duties will also include performing preventative maintenance on these equipment in line with company standards, adhering to company policies, standards and procedures (e.g. OSHA and safety requirements, AIB and Pepsi standards, Federal/State/Local laws), and wearing all required personal protective equipment. You will be tasked with performing changeovers on production line equipment, communicating with co-workers regarding repair status on equipment, completing necessary paperwork, working assigned schedules and overtime as needed, and maintaining cleanliness in your work area. You will also be responsible for ordering parts and maintaining parts inventory.

Hard Skills

  • Industrial maintenance experience on production equipment OR Associate's/Trade School

  • Troubleshooting hydraulic systems

  • Experience working with electrical systems up to 480V

Soft Skills

  • Effective communication skills

  • Ability to adhere to strict guidelines and procedures

  • Time management and organizational skills

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Columbus, Ohio.

Work Environment

The work environment is a high-speed bottling plant that fills plastic bottles & cans. There is also a brand new Blow Mold Facility next door where assistance may be required. The two facilities are separated by a large parking lot, so walking between facilities in different weather conditions will be necessary. Certain areas require the wearing of hair/beard nets due to the food-grade nature of the facility. The facility is climate-controlled and well maintained. This is an urgent need for 3rd Shift Maintenance Technicians due to recent retirements. You will be responsible for both proactive and reactive maintenance on manufacturing/conveyor systems.
