We are looking for an HR Generalist with a focus on learning development and recruiting to join our HR team in Columbus, OH{rel="nofollow"}.
B&N HR Generalist Responsibilities:
- Coordinating training sessions, collaborating with multiple stakeholders, and ensuring effective communication across different employee growth and cultural initiatives. The role
- Assists with maintaining program documentation and supporting cultural integration efforts across regional offices
- Manage communications and logistics for various development programs and initiatives, including scheduling, participant coordination, and content distribution.
- Coordinate internal events, workshops, and summits, ensuring smooth execution by handling travel arrangements, venue reservations, day of event logistics and event materials
- Assist the Learning and Development Specialist in developing training programs, maintaining program modules, and providing necessary data to internal and external stakeholders
- Support required HR and Compliance Training programs
- Directly source candidates through research, messaging campaigns, internet searches, proactively contacting, resume mining, referral generation, pre-screening, career fair events and interviewing candidates to attract to the firm
- Proactively and creatively sources, leads and screens candidates to develop pools of talent for positions across the firm
- Develop and present recommendations on qualified candidates to hiring managers and participate with Human Resources for offer development
- Collaborate and share knowledge and practices with the HR team
- Recommend and drive improvements to overall recruiting practice and work with HR for development and facilitation of recruitment workshops for hiring managers and interview teams
- Ensures the maintenance of accurate and concise records and reports concerning all phases of the recruitment process
- Assists with other functions of HR as needed
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or another related field
- 2+ years of experience in Human Resources with strong interest in learning and development
- HR or L&D certification a plus
- Adequate knowledge and experience with learning management systems, e-learning platforms, instructional design experience, and web delivery tools
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented
- Passion for technology
- Experience working with applicant tracking systems
Excellent client relationship skills, communicates proactively and consistently with hiring managers and candidates
