Our Opening and Your Responsibilities This position is responsible for the credit and collection activities for US and Canada reporting to the Head of Finance. This position works collaboratively with business partners, a collections team based in India and leads a team of 14. The Credit and Collections Manager is responsible for cash collections, dispute management, monthly reports, metrics, and internal controls compliance. The position also ensures a high level of service is provided to internal customers. Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to minimize risk and optimize cash flow. Analyze customer creditworthiness and make decisions regarding credit limits. Oversee the collections process, including follow-up on overdue accounts and negotiation of payment plans. Manage a team of credit and collections specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure effective operations. Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable aging, collection forecasts, and bad debt. Collaborate with sales, service, and finance teams to resolve customer disputes and improve collection efforts. Maintain relationships with key customers to encourage timely payments and address issues. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to credit and collections. Analyze trends in collections and suggest improvements to processes and policies. Manage the collection teams with overall responsibility for energizing and motivating the teams ensuring overall team goals are met. Identify and implement business process improvements. What You Need to Succeed Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing credit and collections. Experience with ERP systems and collection software. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Experience managing a team.
