VMware Emerging Talent Program Manager - Opportunity for Working Remotely in Columbus, Ohio

Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

The primary objective of this position is to provide a positive experience for the VMware Academy New Graduates globally. You will work collaboratively with the UT Customer Business Engagement Manager, Academy Recruiters and RACE (Readiness, Assessment, Certification and Enablement) partners to ensure all programmatic elements from pre-start to the close of their first-year experience, are set up for success.

You will bring a fresh perspective to the role and innovate in areas where process, programming and experience can be improved. You will be expected to support VMware and the UT organization in new and emerging efforts, including but not limited to scholarship research and creation, professional selling events, and the RACE/UT partnership. It is the ability to bring varying parties together to create an unparalleled experience that will make you successful in this role.

The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

You will manage VMware Academy and corresponding Worldwide Sales/Customer Experience initiatives and events for our target audiences. This includes:

  • Partnering withAcademystakeholders (BU leaders,RACE,Finance,HRand TA) to evaluate current and ongoing strategic priorities and goals

  • Advise stakeholders on UT/ET best practices

  • Manage Academy transitions with regional partners to ensure a smooth and efficient process and experience

  • Act as point of contact and trusted advisor for Academy hires

  • Lead regional Academy meetings with RACE and Recruiting partnersand ensure all groups are on the same page

  • Strategic oversight and event management of Academy Hiring Events

  • Review, Analyze and present key programmatic data to stakeholders (surveys, promotion, attrition, etc.)

  • Research and propose new initiatives and events that will help build our Customer talent pipeline

  • Drive Diversity,Equityand Inclusion in all programmatic initiatives

  • Drive accountability with Academy stakeholders and managers around UT’s Relocation and Compensation policies

What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?

The University Talent Experience team is led by Courtney Manning, Senior Manager of the University Talent Experience Team. Courtney has been at VMware for roughly 8.5 years and currently oversees all programmatic elements of VMware’s Intern, New Graduate and soon to be Emerging Talent population.

You will be part of a collaborative and focused team of Program Managers who are committed to their work, VMware’s EPIC2 values, and providing best in class experiences for all audiences and stakeholders. The team is currently distributed across 3 different time zones in the US and is empowered to build their schedule and manage their programs with autonomy.

Where is the role located?

This role is remote and will not be assigned to a fixed office location unless you prefer it. Open to current Full Time Employees.

This job may require the candidate to comply with travel restrictions and/or work from a facility that requires full vaccination prior to entry. Further, depending on various factors, including legal challenges to the Executive Order on Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors, VMware may require employees to be fully vaccinated effective January 18, 2022.
