Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Lead Cloud Engineer . This position may be located in Columbus, OH - strongly preferred; Atlanta, GA or Remote Eastern US .

The Health Analytics Division specializes in developing advanced Information Technology and Data Management solutions for our government and commercial clients.

Responsibilities

This individual will be expected to demonstrate a high motivation for success, a detail-oriented mindset, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to drive multi-disciplinary teams of stakeholders and implementers with other highly motivated individuals.

The candidate is expected to assume the following primary job responsibilities:

  • Proactively and independently work with stakeholders (internal and external) to build and maintain software system cloud environments.

  • Interacting with cross functional teams including, but not limited to software engineers, data scientists, test engineers and business analysts.

  • Document and maintain requirement traceability.

  • Conducting and participating in assigned projects with minimum of supervision and within time and budget constraints Consistently follow software development life cycle practices

  • Continued job performance improvement through on-the-job training and outside study

  • Assists lower-level staff in resolving analysis problems

  • Prepares and presents advanced technical reports and presentations to client, both formal and informal.

  • Build relationships with clients and assist in responding to client Requests for Proposals (RFP)s and similar business development tasks.

  • Minimal domestic travel+ Key Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 5 years of demonstrated work experience or a master’s degree with at least 2 years of experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining secure cloud computing systems using services such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud and technologies such as Terraform, Kubernetes or Docker

  • Demonstrated experience overseeing and coordinating release and build automation, CI/CD, GitHub and GitHub Workflows, or related functions.

  • Demonstrated experience with secure network configuration

  • Demonstrated competency in the software development life cycle and agile methodologies

  • Coordinate with on-site client team members, geographically diverse development team, and resources groups to manage the system architecture and deployments.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to meet competing deadlines successfully

  • Strong communication/presentation skills required, will be presenting to external clients.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with federal agencies such as HHS or DoD.

  • Demonstrated experience with

  • SQL and relational database engines such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle

  • Development tools (e.g., NetBeans, Eclipse, Visual Studio Code, etc.)

  • Data manipulation languages such as Python, R, SAS

  • Web server software (e.g., WebLogic, Apache, IIS, Tomcat)

  • Automated code quality tools (e.g., SonarQube)

  • Continuous integration tools (e.g., Hudson, Jenkins, xUnit, Team Foundation Server, etc.)

  • Automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Katalon, Selenium, Cucumber, etc.)

  • Experience testing mathematical, statistical, scientific, or health care related applications

  • Experience with Battelle or contract research organization
