Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Chemical Engineering Intern for Summer 2025. This position is located in Columbus, OH . Our Environment Division within the Environment and Agriculture Business Line conducts research, characterization, and remediation of environmental contamination, and designs and implements environmentally sustainable remedial technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Extract information from existing databases or literature and prepare information for environmental and engineering analysis.

  • Draft environmental sampling plans and work plans related to laboratory and field projects.

  • Follow established procedures to conduct laboratory and field activities and generate defensible technical data.

  • Preparing chains of custodies and handling sample shipments

  • Assist in the compilation and interpretation of data.

  • Support research for the evaluation of new technologies.

  • Provide input to technical reports and proposals.

  • Participate in technical briefings to internal project teams and clients

Key Qualifications

  • Must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s in Chemical Engineering or related environmental-related fields with at least 18 months of undergraduate coursework completed.

  • Related work experience (paid or unpaid) in the chemical/environmental engineering disciplines.

  • Experience working in a laboratory and/or field environment, including preparing, conducting, and documenting tests.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Positive attitude and eagerness to take on technical challenges

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint

  • Must be available to work up to 40 hours during business office hours

  • Must be a US Person as defined by US export laws
