Battelle is seeking an Application Support Specialist I I. This position is located in Columbus, OH .
Primarily responsible for the support and maintenance of Windchill PLM solutions/systems and other Engineering systems/software. Performs system upgrades and patches for Windchill PLM, CAD and engineering tools. Supports internal users by fulfilling service tickets and requests including new capabilities. Works as a generalist across platforms including Networking / Telecom, Desktop, hardware, software, servers, etc. Services as a liaison between CIT and other technical groups and business units. Leads and executes projects of advanced complexity. Other duties as assigned.
Provide user support for Windchill PLM system capabilities including, but not limited to, the following: PDMLink, Etrage, Apache, Windchill directory server, and Visualization Publishers
Provide user support for CAD and Engineering tools including, but not limited to, the following: Creo, Solidworks, Altium, Pads, and Cadence
Monitor system daily, resolve incidents and fulfill requests as it relates to Windchill PLM, CAD and engineering tools. This to include but not limited to the following: system monitoring, reviewing systems logs for errors, system patches, clean up unreferenced files, maintenance build updates, performance tuning, and issue resolution.
Troubleshoot user reported issues, submit request to resolve reproducible issues
Responsible for maintaining Dev, Test, and production environments
Perform system upgrades and patches for Windchill PLM, CAD and engineering tools
Assist end users in CAD and engineering tool software installations.
Follow industry standards, company policy and procedures
Maintain system documentation
THE FOLLOWING IS REQUIRED
Bachelor's in Computer Information Systems or related degree with 2 – 5 years of experience
Strong communication skills, driven customer support, and ability or experience scripting with different languages (Bash, Python, Swift, and PowerShell).
Experience with Microsoft Deployment tools, including Provisioning Packages
Requires a background that would not preclude a security clearance granted
Familiarity Apache Web Server
Working knowledge of Windchill or similar PLM solutions
Experience with one or more CAD modeling tools such as Solidworks or Creo
Must be a U.S. citizen (ITAR)
