APN Education & Development Specialist Requisition ID 2024-52443 Category Advanced Practice Provider Overview 0.8-1.0 FTE, working 32-40 hours per week Oversees the centralized onboarding process, first year competencies and transition to practice program for areas who do not have such a program. Responsibilities Coordinates and offers formal education and training through proctored skills reviews, in-services, lectures, preceptor training, and other continuing education opportunities for advanced practice providers. Promotes professional development, role transition, integration, and initial and ongoing competency for all APPs. Engages in and promotes research, evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and scholarship. Serves as a liaison with internal and external education, safety, and evidence-based committees to ensure congruency and currency. Assists with compiling quality and safety metrics for APPs as needed/required. Supports and fosters academic partnerships. Qualifications KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED 1. Master of Science in Nursing or related field required, Doctorate of Nursing Practice preferred 2. Licensed as an AHP in the State of Ohio, required 3. Certification as an AHP in the state of Ohio, required 4. Current competency in neonatal AHP clinical practice and professional development. 5. Educational leadership skill in curriculum design and implementation at the organizational level. 6. Ability to adapt teaching methods for various types of learners, including classroom teaching competency and group facilitation skills. 7. Effective communication skills for relating to all levels of personnel and disciplines. 8. Leadership ability as demonstrated by high level of initiative, decision-making and organizational skills. 9. Comptency in neonatal AHP clinical practice and professional development MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 1. Must be able to see, hear, stand, walk, speak, read and perform manual tasks with or without accommodation, and care for oneself with little or no difficulty. 2.
