Batch Operator 3rd Shift – BC4 – Columbus, NE

This is a full-time, hourly position.

Location: ADM Animal Nutrition, Columbus, NE

Schedule: Sunday – Friday, 10hr Shifts (10:00p – 6:30a )

Job Summary:

The Batch Operator is an hourly position and is responsible for safely operating the batching process per standard operating procedures (SOPs),specified feed formulation and quality procedures.

Work Duties and Required Skills

Follow the expectations of all Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality standards.

Follow the production schedule in accordance with feed formulation and quality

Troubleshoot equipment and process problems

Proficient use of computer – in addition to process controls and inventory software

Cleaning of processing equipment

Ensure ingredients and reprocessed products are blended correctly

Maintain inventory for in process ingredients

Assist Hand Add colleagues dumping ingredients

Accurate reporting with necessary paperwork.

Responsible for ensuring area is kept clean and completion of all listed housekeeping duties per the master sanitation schedule.

Participate in shift exchange review and response meetings to communicate your key process indicator performance.

Once qualified, provide mentoring and training to new colleagues in the Batch Operator position.

Perform other duties as assigned by ADM Management.

Perform other duties as assigned by Plant Leadership.

At times, overtime will be required.

Job Requirements:

To be considered for an opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent

Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred

Commitment to ADM’s goal of achieving a zero injury culture; understand and follow company safety procedures

Basic math and reading skills

Able to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.), lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted

Willing to work overtime and weekends, if needed

Exhibit regular and prompt attendance

Demonstrate initiative to work independently while flexible enough to work in team setting when needed

Exhibit a professional image at all times; maintain a positive and respectful attitude

Commitment to ADM’s goal of achieving a zero injury culture; understand and follow company safety procedures
