Summary: At Aurora Flight Sciences, we design, build, and fly advanced aircraft and enabling technologies. We are searching for a talented and self-motivated Manufacturing Technology Engineer to help us advance the future of flight. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop, prototype, and test novel manufacturing methods and concepts. Work with production personnel to identify pain points and potential solutions. Design and fabricate physical prototypes of new technologies, for example, instrumentation systems, robots, and end effectors. Design and develop new software systems and concepts, for example, automated scheduling and planning tools, and predictive analytic tools. Work with vendors to implement off the shelf equipment such as machining centers, metrology systems, and composite layup equipment. Build and maintain a working knowledge of state-of-the-art aerospace composite fabrication and assembly processes. Plan, schedule, and prioritize work to meet established deadlines. Assist production personnel on the shop floor as needed. Recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel, material, and utilities. Perform limited manufacturing engineering duties on prototype and development programs based on experience and skill set.

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
Must be a U.S. Person.
