This position is for a Manufacturing Engineering/Assembly Intern Summer 2023 Job with a company located in Columbus, MS.
Summary: This position will assist in the Study, Analysis, Development and Documentation of Plant Assembly processes. The job also includes assistance in Continuous Improvement Efforts focusing on; Departmental Quality Improvement Projects, Ergonomic Improvement Projects, Line Balance Optimization and Improvements in Overall Departmental Efficiency. It is a temporary position.
Duties and Responsibilities Include: Study, and analyze plant assembly processes; Development and document plant assembly processes; Flexibility to address special projects as they arise; Assist in continuous improvement efforts focusing on: Departmental improvement quality projects, Line Balance optimization, Ergonomic Improvement projects; Overall departmental efficiency improvements.
Requirements and Qualifications Include: Bachelor\'s Degree In Progress; The candidate we seek will be currently enrolled in an Engineering Program and have completed their Sophomore year of College; Excellent technical, verbal, written and presentations skills; Proven problem solving skills are required; Ability to work in a self-directed environment is preferred; Must be flexible to work portions of day and evening shift; Must be able to work to work 40 hours per week; Be able to stand for prolonged periods of time; MS office, specifically excel spreadsheets; A 3.0 GPA or higher is preferable.
