CRH offers on the job training for this position.
Inpatient department providing round the clock services in all areas of the hospital, our Lab Specimen Procurement department works closely as a team with up to six phlebotomists working depending on the time of day.
This department utilizes mobile dives such as Rover iPhones and printers to help correctly identify patients and ensure we are providing quality care.
The base hourly rate for this position is $16.40. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience and does include shift differentials and premium pay as applicable. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
This night position will require you to work a shift from 6:30PM-5:00AM, 40 hours a week, Monday - Thursday.
What is required for this position:
Education and/or Experience:
High school education or General Education Degree (GED) required.
One year certificate from a college or technical school or one to three months related experience and/or training preferred.-CRH does offer on the job training.
Medical terminology course; computer based knowledge, PC and keyboarding skills preferred.
Phlebotomy orientation required within 6 months of hire.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
Valid Indiana driver’s license required and must meet the hospital's liability insurance carrier requirements.
Phlebotomy certification through the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent certificate and/or registration preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
This position will require frequent standing, walking use of hands and fingers to handle, feel objects, tools or controls
Must regularly life and/or move up to 25 pounds, and up to 50 pounds occasionally
