DWU - CEP(HDM) - Machining Production Team Associate - 3rd Shift

Description

Operates machines and production equipment independently in accordance with quality and productivity requirements. Acts as a formal resource leading and coordinating others. Quickly and effectively adapts to change in the manufacturing environment

Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE)

Stop work and immediately report any major injury hazards.

Report any work related injury, illness, incident or hazard.

Quality

Follows all applicable standard work, process documentation and quality procedures such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), poka-yoke and visual standards.

Identifies and controls non-conforming material.

Fully proficient with all work processes, independently operating equipment to manufacture and assemble product in order to create the proper characteristics and dimensions necessary to meet customer expectations.

Leads and coordinates others acting as a formal resource for team members with less capability.

Achieves production goals.

Works at the required cycle time or defined engineering standard.

Maintains clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping tasks and machine cleaning tasks and performs planned operator care and maintenance tasks.

Remains flexible and performs other miscellaneous duties, as required, to meet production goals.

Works with peers, skilled trades and support staff to maintain and identify equipment needing repair.

Adapts quickly to changing conditions.

Effectively handles risk.

Deals constructively with problems that do not have clear solutions or outcomes.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

Significant work experience and in-depth knowledge obtained through specialized training and relevant experience.

Position requires operation of PIV and hoists

Position requires understanding of a 5S methodology

Remains flexible and performs other miscellaneous duties, as required, to meet production goals.
