Description

We are in search of a Purchasing Manager to join our team located near Columbus GA. This role centers around the procurement of materials and services, ensuring the smooth operation of our organization. The Purchasing Manager will be an integral part of our team, responsible for managing and improving our purchasing activities.

Responsibilities:

• Take charge of purchasing raw materials and services following the company's protocol.

• Coordinate with various departments to understand their needs and requirements.

• Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as Epicor for efficient purchasing management.

• Conduct buying processes, ensuring the quality and cost-effectiveness of purchased items.

• Manage accounting functions related to purchasing such as overseeing Accounts Payable (AP).

• Maintain effective communication with suppliers and internal teams.

• Continually assess purchasing functions and activities for potential improvements.

• Manage the purchasing department's operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

• Handle purchasing management tasks, including planning, organizing, and supervising.

• Exhibit strong skills in Chef and About Time software for effective task execution.

Requirements

Candidates for the Purchasing Manager position must have the following:

• Experience purchasing raw materials in a manufacturing or fabrication environment

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Excel and ERP experience

• Leadership experience preferred
