What You Will Do:

We have an exciting opportunity for an NDT Level 1 Sonic Inspector at our growing facility in Columbus, Georgia. Columbus Forge, a recognized leader in producing disks and airfoils for the aerospace propulsion market, is looking for dedicated individuals to support our organization. This position is available on 2nd Shift (Monday – Thursday from 4 pm – 2:30 am).

• Aid in the process of performing non-destructive testing Ultrasonic inspections using IRT or Matec Systems

• Assist with selecting, preparing, loading, calibrating, or operating equipment used in the non-destructive testing of products or materials

• Record results of inspections and submit to Ultrasonic Level II team member

• Perform daily walk-around and maintain cleanliness of equipment and inspection area

• Complete classroom theory, on the job training, and certification examination as required by Pratt & Whitney NDT qualifications. Employment is contingent on passing NDT Level I test

• Must be able to obtain NDT Level 1 Certification within designated timeframe as required by Pratt & Whitney. Re-certification required at interval specified by Pratt & Whitney qualifications

• This position entails working at a desk while monitoring a computer screen in a controlled environment

Qualifications You Must Have:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer:

• NDT experience and/or NDT Level 1 certification

• Experience in a quality/aerospace manufacturing environment and proficiency with quality procedures

• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite Products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Knowledge of Matec and IRT Ultrasonic systems
