M1 Support Services LP Electrical Environmental Specialist 111772 in Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi

This is a position is for a ELECTRICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIALIST

 

Responsibilities: Maintains electrical/environmental systems IAW technical data requirements.  Performs tasks under minimum supervision. Coordinates maintenance activities with senior electric/environmental personnel as required.  Performs both on and off-equipment maintenance.  Troubleshoots electric/environmental systems to isolate malfunctions.  Makes necessary repairs, replaces assemblies, and makes adjustments as indicated during the troubleshooting phase.  Performs inspections and maintenance on electrical/environmental equipment. Performs repairs of electrical/electronic and environmental systems.  Annotates maintenance actions in aircraft records and is knowledgeable in CAMS documentation.  Practices good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention, and safety at all times.  May be selected to perform special certifications including Red X inspections, if no qualified volunteers, then most ualified person may be selected.  May be assigned to maintain TO files, bench stock, shop stock, CTKs, or hazardous waste areas. May be required to be qualified on different MDS aircraft.  Shall assist other personnel and work centers as directed.  Must promote Company values, policies, and standards of conduct.  Must be customer oriented and ensure professional coordination with Operations and other base agencies.  When assigned to a Sortie Generation Flight (SGF), required to be qualified in APG activities.  Shall perform other duties assigned to include TDY and travel.  Must be able to work day shift, night shift, or weekend duty as required.  Receives cross-utilization training and is qualified to perform those maintenance tasks.

 

Qualifications : A working knowledge of aircraft electrical/environmental systems and of the use of schematic diagrams, drawings, and charts is required.  Must possess a working knowledge of technical publications, maintenance directives, and maintenance forms.  High school diploma or the equivalent is required.  Specialized courses in aircraft electric/environmental systems are required.  Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. A minimum of two years recent experience as an aircraft electrical/environmental specialist is required. When assigned to SGF, recent experience for assigned aircraft is required.  Must be able to obtain and maintain a flight line driver's license and may be required to obtain and maintain a class CDL.  Physical exertion requirement is medium..
