Actalent Remote Pharmacist in Columbia, South Carolina

Fully Remote Pharmacist

Job Description

-As a Pharmacist, you will control medications by monitoring drug therapies and advising on interventions.

-You will be responsible for completing pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' workflow, verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals, and verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.

-Additionally, you will provide pharmacological information by answering questions and requests from health care professionals and counseling patients on drug therapies.

-You will also develop hospital staff's pharmacological knowledge by participating in clinical programs and training pharmacy staff, students, interns, externs, residents, and health care professionals.

-Your role will ensure compliance with state and federal drug laws, maintain records for controlled substances, supervise the work results of support personnel, and advise management on legislative actions.

-You will also maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to infection-control protocols and regulations.

-Your contributions will enhance team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements

-SC license

-PharmD

-Experience working in quality improvement, Retail pharmacy, managed care, or hospital pharmacy
