Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Columbia, South Carolina

We are looking for accounting professionals who are accomplished and organized. We are aiming to find a skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper for our client in the Government industry. This role is with a company in the Government field. As the Full Charge Bookkeeper, you will administer month-end close, cash flow, financial statement preparation, audit, full cycle A/P, payroll, bank reconciliations, and journal entries. The clerical staff will address any concerns to the Full Charge Bookkeeper. This permanent employment opportunity is based in the Columbia, South Carolina area. Don't wait - apply today!

How you will make an impact

  • Create cash flow projections, as needed

  • More tasks as requested

  • Develop monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents

  • Assemble cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.

  • Condense business license and gross receipts

  • Enter Accounts Payable

  • Set up subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement

  • Document budget transfers

  • Adept in credit card management and reconciliation

  • Categorize sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments

  • Maintain monthly accounting close

  • Handle Accounts Receivable Requirements - Strong attention to detail

  • Expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Proficiency in Full Cycle Payroll

  • Foundational knowledge in QuickBooks Enterprise

  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience

  • Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines

    • 2+ years of related experience- Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
  • Highly organized and self-motivated

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Self-starter and strong ethical standards

  • Top notch analytical, organizational, and vendor management skills

    • Remarkable accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred
