What youll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck and rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Serve as the EHS contact and resource for assigned areas/departments in Blythewood, SC
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve EHS programs for Production and Construction
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement policies, procedures, and practices appropriate for risks, hazards, and conditions
- Conduct risk assessments to ensure risks and hazards are identified and mitigated
- Own and manage PPE, Life Safety and safety equipment for assigned areas
- Develop and deliver curated training programs for Production and specialized work
- Respond to incidents, lead/participate in investigation, learning teams and communicate as appropriate
- Work closely with People team, Risk and insurance, and onsite Health Service for light duty, return to work, and other programs
- Ensure compliance with industry safety standards; local, state and federal regulations; and company safety policies and procedures
- Maintain detailed records of equipment safety assessments, inspections, and corrective actions.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on safety performance and improvement initiatives.

Location and Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia, SC. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

- Bachelor's degree in health safety, engineering, or related field Professional certification (e.g. CSP) preferred
- 6+ years of experience in EHS
- 2+ years experience supporting manufacturing operations, preferred
- 2+ years experience supporting facility construction projects, preferred
- Experience in the EV automotive industry is highly desired
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations in the US
- Excell nt communication skills with the ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure

Pay Transparency
This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range = $95,000-$115,000
Internal leveling code: IC9
