The Opportunity

As the Drinking Water Section Resource Manager within Process Engineering, you will provide the workforce management for your applicable Process Engineering discipline. Section Resource Managers will have the primary responsibility of coordinating day-to-day workload of the section, working in tandem with supervisors and technical team leaders to ensure all professionals have a balanced workload, meaningful assignments, and the appropriate training to accelerate their development. Other responsibilities will include Tempus updates, workload forecasts, tracking of training needs and performance metrics, facilitating Section meetings, and onboarding of new professionals.

Our Team of over 200 process engineers support water, industrial, next generation agriculture, LNG, hydrogen, fertilizer, and carbon capture businesses among others. Key Responsibilities

• Support strategy and growth initiatives

• Drive joint accountability for project execution and safety performance

• Financial (workload forecasts, Tempus updates, staff utilization, budget monitoring, overhead control, and approvals)

• Career and talent development and training

• Performance management

• Drive accountability for the application of processes and tools to increase efficiency

• Facilitate section meetings and communication

• Identify SMEs and staff to support project and proposal efforts

• Hiring and onboarding efforts

Management Responsibilities

Supervises work of others. Responsible for hiring, discipline, and pay administration of their subordinates.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in the position discipline, Business, Finance, HR-related, other related technical discipline or equivalent experience

• Act as process lead on at least 5 projects

• Experience leading teams

• Resource management experience

• Familiarity with Black & Veatch clients, markets, and solutions

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 8 years related work experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Certifications

Most positions - depending on the nature of work performed as defined by the division - will typically require incumbents to have professional registration or licensure in their designated home office country, or be in active pursuit* of such registration
