Robert Half Customer Service Representative - Bilingual-Spanish/English in Columbia, South Carolina

Description We are in search of a Customer Service Representative who is fluent in both Spanish and English, and is proficient in handling customer inquiries, processing applications, and maintaining accurate customer records. This role is based in Columbia, South Carolina. It's a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to work in the fast-paced, high-energy insurance industry.

Responsibilities:

• Support policyholders by providing detailed information about insurance product offerings

• Handle incoming calls and respond to policyholder inquiries regarding claims service and intake-related issues

• Assist with basic technical troubleshooting for self-service related issues

• Maintain accurate customer credit records and meticulously process customer credit applications

• Proactively send transfers to the sales team to increase revenue

• Handle claim intake for policyholders efficiently and professionally

• Consistently meet or exceed departmental standards related to quality, handle time, and other key performance indicators

• Provide feedback to leadership and support process improvements

• Participate in training and mentoring of Junior Representatives

• Perform other duties as assigned and demonstrate willingness to work various shifts within a specified timeframe

• Represent the organization's tenets: Personal Connection, Empathy, Problem-Solving, and Ownership. Requirements • Proficient in both English and Spanish languages

• Demonstrated experience in customer service roles

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

• Proven sales skills and understanding of sales processes

• Experience in training staff or colleagues

• Familiarity with standard office procedures and policies

• Ability to plan and execute processes efficiently

• A high level of attention to quality in all tasks

• Basic understanding of insurance principles

• Prior experience in a supervisory role

• Familiarity with time management strategies

• Demonstrated leadership skills

• Experience with hiring processes

• Ability to troubleshoot common issues

• Understanding of revenue accounting principles

• Experience with claim administration processes

• Knowledge of best practices in customer service

• Ability to execute tasks efficiently

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a team

• Experience with KPI reporting

• Understanding of process improvement strategies

• Excellent interpersonal skills.
