Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist based in Columbia, South Carolina. In this role, you will be working in the manufacturing industry, where your main tasks will include processing customer applications, maintaining customer credit records, and resolving customer inquiries. Your expertise in account coding, accounting software systems, and accounts payable will be highly valuable.

Responsibilities:

• Accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications

• Maintenance and updating of customer credit records

• Addressing and resolving customer inquiries related to accounts payable

• Regular monitoring of customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary

• Use of accounting software systems to manage and track customer accounts

• Coding invoices accurately to ensure proper account classification

• Ensuring compliance with manufacturing industry standards and practices in all tasks

• Collaborating with other team members to ensure smooth operation of the accounts payable function

• Regular reporting on account statuses and updates

• Continuous improvement of accounts payable processes and systems for increased efficiency Requirements • Must have a strong understanding of Account Coding principles and practices

• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems is required

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) processes is essential

• Ability to Code Invoices accurately and efficiently is necessary

• Must be capable of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required

• Should possess strong analytical abilities and attention to detail

• Must be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

• A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred

• Prior experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry is an advantage.
