Compensation Range

Hourly: $22.60 - $30.30 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

About This Job

The main purpose of this job is to offer guidance to branch bankers to help them efficiently and accurately assist customers.

Essential Functions

  • Provide support via phone, email, chat, and occasional video call

  • Assist retail branch staff and management regarding account opening, servicing, titling and ownership, as well as providing troubleshooting information for the Retail systems

  • Act as a resource for branches. Be the primary contact on topics such as checking accounts, savings accounts, CDs, IRAs, safe deposit, IRS reporting, customer setup and transaction processing.

  • Identify frontline training and communication needs. Communicate those needs and potential solutions to management

  • Review documents and help facilitate communication related to Retail policies, procedures, and systems

  • Review legal documents. Collaborate with Legal department if necessary

  • Serve as an IRA specialist to facilitate certain IRA transactions, as well as serve as a subject matter expert to answer IRA questions from front line staff

  • Work with other Retail units, operations areas, and technical units to support frontline staff and branch functions

  • Assist in developing changes to products, systems, and procedures

  • Perform other duties as assigned

    K nowledge Skills & Abilities Required

  • Extensive knowledge of retail banking operations

  • Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values

  • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

    Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Businesss or equivalent combination of education and experience required

  • 5+ years retail banking and/or operations experience required

*Role is remote - onsite is an option if preferred (employee can reside anywhere in the branch footprint)

At Commerce, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $22.60 to $30.30 per hour.
