CITY OF COLUMBIA Administrative Technician II/Parks and Recreation in Columbia, Missouri

Special Instructions to Applicants: HOURS: Monday-Friday 8a-5p; some evenings and weekends required Looking for someone with strong customer service and time management skills, high attention to detail, ability to multitask, and be a positive part of the team. This position includes administrative tasks, assisting with event planning and execution, and providing support to Recreation Specialists and Supervisor at Hillcrest Community Center, as well as the department. Duties include providing excellent customer service, answering phone calls and in-person inquiries, processing payments for memberships, booking and scheduling event vendors and entertainers, numerous administrative tasks, daily building operations and supervision, assisting with senior programs and activities, and helping recreation staff with planning and executing events such as Heritage Festival, Fire in the Sky and Yappy Hour.
