The Patient Services Coordinator is responsible for gathering necessary data, entering appropriate data into electronic health record, ensuring all necessary documentation and paperwork is completed and appropriately signed by patient in order schedule and register patients for outpatient services and appropriate inpatient procedures. Timeliness and accuracy of work impact patient care by enabling others to provide direct patient care. Internal contacts outside the work group, especially Financial Clearance staff, may be required to resolve problems and to collaborate on work procedures. Continuous contacts occur with external sources and responsibility exists to ensure that satisfaction is maintained. This position is responsible for collecting, verifying and monitoring health information relating to visits. This includes documentation, coding and billing reimbursement to ensure the facility is reimbursed correctly and timely.

Work

High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma is required.
