Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Residential Security Installer with at least 6 months of security, cabling, or HVAC experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining security systems in residential properties, ensuring all systems are properly set up and functioning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain residential security systems, including alarm systems, cameras, and access control devices.

• Run and terminate low-voltage cables (e.g., Cat5, Cat6) according to project requirements.

• Ensure systems are installed according to company standards and meet customer expectations.

• Perform routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of installed systems.

•  Communicate effectively with customers to understand their security needs and provide solutions.

•  Provide training to customers on the operation of installed security systems.

•  Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following safety guidelines at all times.

• Document installation processes and provide reports to the supervisor.

Requirements:

• At least 6 months of experience with cabling, including running and terminating cables.

• Basic understanding of security systems, including alarms, cameras, and access control devices.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings is a plus.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments (e.g., crawl spaces, attics).

Preferred Qualifications:

 • Experience in residential security installations.

 • Knowledge of current security technology trends.

 • Certifications in low-voltage or security systems (e.g., NICET, ESA) are a plus.
