Job Title: Firmware Lead

Job Description

A fast-growing health technology and digital medicine company is searching for an Engineering Lead to guide the development of our revolutionary healthcare solutions and lead our talented engineering team. We are seeking a highly skilled, hands-on leader who can manage day-to-day engineering operations while also contributing technically to the design, development, and optimization of our hardware and software solutions. This role is for someone who thrives in leadership but remains passionate about staying involved in the technical aspects, with the potential to grow into the Chief Technical Officer role.

• Minimum:

o Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.

o 5+ years of experience in embedded software development and system architecture.

o Proficiency in embedded C#, C++, and ARM processors (especially STM32 series).

o Expertise in Bluetooth, BLE, and LTE communication for IoT devices.

o Familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure (e.g., EC2, Lambda, MQTT, etc.).

o Strong experience in RTOS (Real-Time Operating Systems), device drivers, and real-time data processing.

o Proven experience leading and managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.

o Solid understanding of ISO 13485 and IEC 62304 for medical device software development.

• Preferred:

o Master’s degree in a relevant technical field.

o 7+ years of professional experience in the medical device industry.

o Hands-on experience with encryption, IoT sensors, sensor algorithms, and system diagnostics.

o Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and bug tracking tools.

o Experience with Bluetooth 5.0 and other wireless communication protocols.

o Previous experience in designing, testing, and validating FDA-cleared medical devices.

o Experience in systems integration (cloud, firmware, and hardware).
