The Clinical Quality and Infection Prevention Manager is responsible for the coordination of all clinical quality data and related information as required by the hospital's Performance Improvement Plan. Provides support to the various committees including the medical staff committees that conduct peer review and other committees that come under the Performance Improvement Plan. Works in conjunction with the Patient Safety Manager, Risk Manager, Infection Control Manager, and Clinical Quality Review Manager to identify Performance Improvement (PI) opportunities, educate and train hospital staff regarding PI tools and methodologies, and assist with the formation of ad hoc work groups (PI Teams) to actively address PI opportunities. Responsible for effectively facilitating PI teams, root cause analysis, Joint Commission related activities, and other organization wide projects. The position requires collaboration with appropriate staff, disciplines, and departments in developing and overseeing the implementation of plans of corrective action once opportunities for improvement are identified. Serves as a technical expert to others for understanding of clinical data. Responsible for administering, coordinating and monitoring all infection control functions. The job encompasses the roles of coordinator, educator, and consultant and requires effective interpersonal and management skills to motivate employees to carry out the infection control practices of the Hospital. Provides guidance to the Occupational Health Manager for issues related to infection prevention and control. The Infection Control Program will be provided in compliance with all regulatory requirements. Serves as the manager of Clinical Quality Services on an interim basis. Must have knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations and CDC and Joint Commission standards. This position has direct interface with hospital staff and the community.

40 hours per week

8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Work

Graduate of an accredited program of nursing or related clinical discipline. Bachelor's degree required and Master's degree in related field preferred.
